CONTINENTAL PAINT DECORATED TEAPOT. First half 19th century, possibly French. Signed beneath base in underglaze blue with stylized “F”, also with incised “Z”. Bulbous example with figural spout molded with clown-like bust. Side panels transfer decorated with putti within molded cartouche. Lid with berry finial within pale blue border. SIZE: 4″ h. PROVENANCE: From the private collection of Dorothy-Lee Jones. CONDITION: Very good overall with minor wear to gilding. 9-23258 (600-900)
