LOUIS XVI STYLE GILTWOOD VITRINE. First quarter 20th century. The triangular molded top with serpentine edges, mounted with a clear glass insert above the conforming glass-sided cabinet, the corners joined by engaged half-column supports cast with floral garlands, the interior fitted with a single plate glass shelf. The whole raised on three tapering fluted legs cast with floral sprays and joined by scrolling stretchers with central floral rosette. SIZE: 38-1/2″ h. x 23″ d. PROVENANCE: From an extensive private Gulf Coast collection. CONDITION: Retains original gilded surfaces, glass top, and sides. Fabric lining missing on bottom shelf. 9-93354 (2,500-4,000)
