BLUE EYED BRU Jne #9 W/TONGUE. A sensational Bru with “the look,” featuring pale bisque, bulbous blue paperweight eyes, and a large tongue on a Chevrot body! This doll was Jean’s pride and joy, and the highlight of her collection. Shoes are marked Bru Jne 8. The outfit, quite possibly her original, is sage polished cotton with fine embroidered lace in the pleats, and a burgundy velvet jacket with sage piping and trim & a matching bonnet. Perhaps even more sensational is an original blond mohair wig with cascading curl extensions. Rear of head is marked “BRU Jne 9,” shoulder plate marked “BRU Jne 12,” still retaining original spring connecting head to shoulder plate. SIZE: 25” t. CONDITION: Upon close examination, small sliver on shoulder plate below nail hole missing; both bisque hands show some restoration to fingers. JL 1-4439 (18,000-22,000)
