WINCHESTER MODEL 1873 LEVER ACTION RIFLE.

WINCHESTER MODEL 1873 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 38 WCF (38-40). SN 514781. Standard grade rifle with 24-1/4” oct bbl, full magazine, Lyman front side with screw and flat top rear sight. Bbl is a double proofed replacement. It is mounted with straight-grain, uncheckered American walnut with crescent buttplate with trap. CONDITION: Good. Bbl retains about 95% orig blue with a couple of cleaned spots by rear sight. Rear sight has light pitting. Magazine tube, forend cap, and receiver have traces of orig blue being mostly a brown patina. Dust cover is a modern replacement. Wood is sound with light nicks, dings, and scratches and retains a hand-worn patina. Mechanics are fine. Bright, shiny bore. Would make an excellent cowboy action shooter. 4-30408 JR18 (1,000-2,000)
