22” GLAZED CHINA SHOULDER HEAD DOLL. Painted features with black painted skullcap, commonly referred to as “Biedermeier” china. 1850’s era china head with blue painted eyes, one stroke black eyebrows, redline above each eye with slight smiling expression on cloth body jointed at hips and knees with leather lower arms. Dressed in an antique olive ribbed silk dress with lace trim and wearing a dark brown human hair wig over the black skullcap. CONDITION: Good quality head with slight pink luster, body shows normal wear, leather arms frail but intact. RS 1-3585 (600-800)
