On an iridescent frosted ground featuring the engrisaille technique, this handled pitcher is a presentation piece which states: “Souvenir de L’Exposition 1900 Le Plus Grand Foudre du Monde Ad. Fruhinsholz Nancy”. The focal point of the design is a nude woman floating in the clouds with the sun behind her. This design is accented by an all-over berry and leaf pattern in black and clear with deep red berries and gold accents. This gold accenting is carried out on the applied handle, rim and spout.
