PAIR OF SEVRES COVERED CUPS AND SAUCERS. Circa 1754. Each with soft paste mark and with date letter for 1754 in overglaze blue. Beautifully decorated with central floral spray within gilt and blue scrolling leaf borders continuing to secondary band of ivory, floral decorated, alternating with reserves of floral sprays. Each teacup with conforming cover with ribbon tied wreath knop. SIZE: Cup with lid: 3″ h. Saucer: 5-1/2″ dia. PROVENANCE: From the private collection of Dorothy-Lee Jones.
