FANCY CARVED AND PAINTED OAK SERVER BY W. B. MOSES & SONS, WASHINGTON, D.C. The ebonized oak serving piece has a metal tag on back of the removable crest. The crest having a central shield design flanked with putti holding garland of fruit and leaves. The shaped top has long drawer in frieze below with carved drawer front of wind blower and vine. Two tiers with shelves having conforming velvet pads in rose color. The top with velvet top and conforming glass. Open sides with front columns having carved figures with trailing leaves. All resting on four flattened bun feet. PROVENANCE: Estate of Maria M. Viveiros, New Bedford, Massachusetts. SIZE: 51-1/2” h x 44” w x 21” d. CONDITION: Generally very good. 9-28763 (800-1200)
