AMERICAN VICTORIAN SILVER PLATE PRESENTATION FIREMAN’S SPEAKING TRUMPET, NEW YORK. Third quarter 19th century. This presentation trumpet decorated in the “Aesthetic Movement” taste, engraved overall with elements of Gothic influence, floral sprays and tassels, the center engraved “Chief Engineer / Moravia Fire Dept.” The carrying rings marked MERIDEN & COMPANY centering a hallmark of a balance scale and the numeral “2”. SIZE: 21-1/2″ h. CONDITION: Structurally very good, with areas of wear to silver plate. 9-95329 (1,500-2,000)
