23” LONGFACE JUMEAU DOLL. Lovely all-original bebe with pressed bisque head, brown paperweight eyes, applied ears, incised “10,” on original straight wrist body with eight loose separate balls at joints and stamped on torso “JUMEAU MEDAILLE D’OR PARIS.” Dressed in pale green silk coutourier costume with ecru lace overlay. She is wearing antique light brown mohair wig over original cork pate and antique brown leather shoes with unmarked leather soles. This doll won a blue ribbon at Yankee Doodle Dollers, Mass. in 1988. CONDITION: Professional restoration on right upper forehead, body in very good condition with original finish. Although there has been some minor restoration, this lovely doll is very desirable. In fact, the restoration is not visible when she wears her wig and hat. RS 1-4286 (5,500-8,000)
