*SCARCE EARLY RUGER NO. 1 SINGLE SHOT RIFLE. Cal. 222 Rem. SN 4438. Usual configuration with 26″ tapered rnd bbl with quarter rib and without sights. It has very nicely grained, checkered, pistol grip stock and beavertail forearm with thin rounded orig red rubber buttplate and sling swivel studs. The trigger is a replacement with single-set feature. CONDITION: Very fine to extremely fine. Retains virtually all of its orig factory finish to both metal & wood with only a few scattered tiny handling & use marks. Quarter rib has three holes drilled & tapped, apparently to accommodate a non-Ruger scope base. Crisp mechanics, brilliant shiny bore. 4-54985 JR71 (800-1,200)
