IVES “MISSING LINK” BELL TOY. An early push mechanical toy of a dressed monkey AKA “The Missing Link” on a round wooden cloth covered base. When the toy is pushed along the floor the iron heart shaped wheels activate the mechanism causing the monkey to jump and dance about the platform while ringing the bell he holds in each hand. The monkey itself is constructed of a wooden armature with iron feet and cloth/fur covered legs, arms and tail. Toy is in all original as found condition. SIZE: Approx. 9-1/2″ t. CONDITION: Overall very fine. Some moth holes to cotton fabric. 1-11520 (1,500-2,500)
