*SMITH & WESSON PRE-MODEL 29 DA REVOLVER. Cal. 44 mag. SN S153561. Early 5-screw frame, blued finish, 4” bbl, adjustable sights with the front sight having a gold ramp insert, target trigger & hammer with coke bottle diamond checkered medallion magnum grips. Accompanied by an original Smith & Wesson black leatherette covered blue satin lined presentation box with tools and a Smith & Wesson letter identifying this revolver as having been shipped Dec. 10, 1956 to Stoegers Arms Corp., Long Island City, NY. It indicates that this type grips were on the revolver. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Has been fired but retains virtually all its original factory finish to both revolver and grips with only a light cylinder line. Mechanics are extremely fine with a bright shiny bore. Box, which has probably been relined, is extremely fine with minor handling and storage marks and a couple of small depressions in the lid. 4-51771 JR479 (1,250-1,750)
