*SCARCE 1918 DWM LUGER ARTILLERY & RIG. SN 9777a.. Cal. 9 mm. Scarce 1918 artillery Luger with 8″ bbl, 800 meter artillery rear sight, DWM scroll on front toggle link & “1918” chamber date. Accompanied by a correct wood base magazine numbered “9748a” & fitted with full checkered walnut grips. Also accompanied by a fine orig stock numbered “8841” & correct brown leather holster with straps containing an “Imperial” proofed takedown tool & orig cleaning rod. PROVENANCE: Doug Smith Collection CONDITION: Extremely fine, all matching except grips, magazine & stock. Overall retains about 98-99% strong orig factory blue & about 98% strong orig factory straw colors. Grips are crisp & are a beautiful walnut color with no hand grease in checkering. Magazine is very fine. Mechanics are crisp, brilliant shiny bore. Holster rig is overall very fine with light wear & scuffs on leather with some flexing & loss of finish on stock lug cover strap.
