ENGLISH DECORATED MOON VASE WITH SCENES FROM “MERCHANT OF VENICE”. Late 19th/early 20th century. The vase applied with handles on sides and with dragon scrolled ornamentation at neck. The flattened sides with convex rondels, each with a scene from the Merchant of Venice with dialog. On a footed base decorated overall with leafy rondels joined by chain links. SIZE: 14-3/4″ h x 12-1/2″ w. PROVENANCE: From the private collection of Dorothy-Lee Jones. CONDITION: Very good overall with craquelure. 9-23272 (300-400)
