*OUTSTANDING MAUSER 1936 S/42 LUGER & RIG. SN 276O. Cal. 9 mm. Scarce early Nazi Luger with 4″ bbl, “S/42” on front toggle link, “1936” over chamber & eagle “63” proofs on right side of receiver. Mounted with unnumbered full checkered walnut grips & accompanied by two orig matching numbered aluminum base magazines. Also accompanied by an orig brown leather Luger holster marked on back “KARL BUCKER / WALDBROL” with date “1936” & a large droop winged eagle over Waffenampt “WaA 387”. Early straw colored Lugers with complete rigs in this condition are very rare. PROVENANCE: Doug Smith Collection. CONDITION: Extremely fine, all matching except grips which are unnumbered. Overall retains about 98% strong orig factory blue & about 90% orig factory straw colors, thin on safety lever & face of trigger. Grips are crisp with beautiful wood grain visible & show extremely light wear with a couple of chipped diamonds on left side. Magazines are near mint. Takedown tool is extremely fine. Mechanics are crisp, brilliant shiny bore. Holster shows moderate wear & scuffs with flexing & light finish loss on strap. 4-36155 JR204 & BS (8,000-10,000)
