WILLIAM LESTER STEVENS (American, 1888-1969) MONHEGAN WHARF. Oil on board harbor scene shows four fishing boats moored side by side to the front end of The Wharf. Manana Island can be seen beyond and the fishing boats and wharf are reflected in the wavy water. Signed lower right “W Lester Stevens”. Inscribed on reverse “Ruth & George From Mother, July 11th, 1937″. A nice early work by this artist. Housed in a gilt wood frame with gilt liner. SIZE: 16″ x 20”.
