*WEBLEY & SCOTT DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN. Cal. 20ga. Fine box lock shotgun with 26” bbls, choked FULL/MOD, tapered concave rib marked “ABERCROMBIE & FITCH CO AGENTS”. Bbls are marked with the maker’s name and address and have double lump with ejectors. The receiver is case colored and has about 60% coverage fine foliate arabesque pattern engraving. “SAFE” on the top tang inlaid in silver. Wood is modestly figured walnut with splinter forearm and checkered round knob buttstock 13-1/4” over a solid red recoil pad. About 1” of the comb has been replaced, according to the consignor by Turnbull. SN 130996. CONDITION: Fine, as noted. Bbls retain 97-98% strong original blue, receiver, floor plate and trigger guard 95-97% strong original colors with the case colors on the receiver very bright, forearm is sound and retains most of a fine restored finish.
