LARGE ACOMA POLYCHROME OLLA. Large antique jar has a small indented base, tall tapered bulging body and tapering neck. Painted over a worn chalky white with a black, red and orange slip. The overall pattern encompassing two colorful birds perched on a branch, one on each side, rectangles and diamonds with checkerboard pattern and a central band of diamonds surrounded by hexagonal black shapes. SIZE: 12-1/4” h x 11” at widest. CONDITION: There is a band of paint loss and chipping above shoulder, some light scratches and one tiny chip on rim.
