*FINE SPRINGFIELD NATIONAL MATCH M-1 GARAND MILITARY RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. SN 3638457. Usual configuration with 23-1/2″ National Match bbl mounted with National Match front sight, gas cylinder, and rear sight & operating rod. Mounted in very nicely figured American walnut wood with pinned upper hand guard & glass bedded receiver. All visible parts appear to be Springfield & floorplate is numbered in white ink with last four digits of serial number. Stock has a small square Ordnance Corps mark on left side with “P” proof on front of wrist along with a small bird shaped stamp. Bbl is dated “12-62” with various part numbers. Unfortunately consignor could not locate the orig arsenal paperwork. Accompanied by a late military sling. CONDITION: Extremely fine. As new, appears to be unfired retaining virtually all of its fine arsenal finish to both metal & wood. A fine example of a National Match Garand. 4-55624 JR110 (1,250-1,750)
