3 DESIRABLE CAST-ALUMINUM 1920’S / 1930’S TRADE STIMULATORS. The first being a Mills Puritan Bell in untouched, as-found condition, complete and in working order. Highly embossed aluminum castings add to the charm of this Mills trade stimulator. The second machine being a Fields Five Jack. Perhaps the nicest of all the Jacks machines, its aluminum front casting with the “jacks men” adorning the right and left sides. When a coin is flipped onto the play field and it lands in one of the small pockets, the player would then turn the handle and release the jackpot below the corresponding pocket. Machine is sound and a good candidate for restoration. The third machine is a Dan-Dee “Your Fortune and Gum” one-cent trade stimulator. An oak cabinet enhanced by fancy aluminum castings, one would deposit a penny in the slot and depress the center handle. The reels would then spin and indicate your fortune according to the card below and a gumball would be dispensed by pulling a knob. Machine has been cleaned and newer paint to front castings, but is in working order. SIZE: First: 7-1/2″ x 9″ x 10″. Second: 18″ x 10″ x 20″. Third: 14″ x 10″ x 16″. CONDITION: First: a good cleaning will bring this machine back to excellent original condition, needing a replacement award card. Second: overall condition is good to very good, lacking wooden back door. Third: overall condition excellent, lacking glass to gum reservoir, marquee missing; back door is a wooden replacement. 1-8779, 1-8780, 1-8781 JL (1,250-1,750) Auction: Advertising, Toy & Doll - Fall 2008 Please Note: All prices include the hammer price plus the buyer’s premium, which is paid by the buyer as part of the purchase price.
