Bolt body is bright with just the most minute of discoloration on cocking handle. Cocking piece & firing pin assembly retain better than 95% of orig blue. Lyman 48 rear sight retains 98% orig finish as does magazine cut-off. Bbl retains better than 95% of its finish with slightest of oxidation in spots. Bbl band shows 98-99% of its orig finish with just the very slightest oxidation down around screw. Trigger guard assembly shows approx. 90% with some light surface oxidation around front mounting screw. Floorplate assembly shows better than 90% with just some slight oxidation. It may or may not clean with a little steel wool. Buttplate shows 90% of its blue with some oxidation around outside edge. (Even sling swivels don’t show any wear on this gun.) Buttstock assembly, which has no inspection marks, shows almost new with only slightest of handling marks & two very small nicks, one in front of rear sling swivel & a very tiny one on pistol grip. Up toward front there is a very thin approx. 1” deep scratch half way between front bbl band & magazine well. Bore shows some light powder residue & the most minute of lead buildup but should clean with no problem. This is one of finest examples of a 1922 that this cataloguer has seen. 4-57812 BK54 (2,500-4,500)
