21” STUNNING FRENCH FASHION TYPE DOLL. With swivel neck, cornflower blue paperweight eyes, on unmarked bisque shoulder plate with defined indentation on center front breast plate. Neither the head nor the shoulders are marked. On gusseted leather French fashion style body, wearing a two piece antique striped skirt with overcoat trimmed in black velvet and ankle length antique brown leather boots with heels. A strawberry blonde mohair wig marked “MADE IN FRANCE,” is topped by an antique black velvet hat with black and olive ribbon trim. CONDITION: Stunningly beautiful face with resemblance to Portrait Jumeau fashion; a horizontal red firing line under the chin and a rip in the right knee gusset at the seam. RS 1-4484 (1,500-2,500)
