GROUP OF SEVEN SPODE AND OTHER ENGLISH TABLE WARES. 19th century. Including a “Spode’s Imperial” footed compote in the Imari palette; a Spode creamware oval dish in the Oriental taste, a copper lustre transfer and paint decorated plate with reticulated edge; a transfer decorated Shakespeare plate, a green enamel warming dish with raised floral decoration, an oval faience fruit & floral decorated serving platter and the last example is a shaped English earthenware basket applied with roses and leafy sprig. The outer surface of the basket applied with a layer of sand particles, the inner surface in an olive green glaze. SIZE: Largest 16″ l; Smallest 7-1/4″ dia; 4-3/4″ h of basket. PROVENANCE: From the private collection of Dorothy-Lee Jones. CONDITION: 1) Very good with minor wear on gilded surfaces. 2) Very good overall. 3) With shallow rim chip and with craquelure. 4) With minor craquelure. 5) With wear to gilded surfaces and with chips to spout. 6) Very good. 7) Basket with small chips in flower petals and basket rim. 9-23320 (500-800)
