TWO SILVER ITEMS. 1) Beautiful sterling silver muffineer with allover repose flowers, stems and leaves with stippled background. The muffineer has initials engraved on the underside “EOM”. Hallmarks on the neck are a “B” within a diamond shape, a left facing rooster or ostrich head within a circle and an “S” within a diamond shape as well as stamped “Sterling 1143”. 2) Silver flip-top box with deep repose hunting scene of hounds chasing a stag within a center cartouche with scrolls and flowers around. Cartouche on backside is not engraved. Small cartouche on lid of box is engraved “D H Brook Presented by Doct. F. Davis”. Box is hallmarked “N.M.” within a rectangle, with a left facing woman’s head within an oval and what appears to be a “D” within an oval, thought to be Nathaniel Mills of Birmingham, 1827. SIZE: 5-1/4″ t and 4-3/4″ x 2-1/4″ respectively. CONDITION: Both pieces are very good to excellent. 5-69544, 5-69545 (300-500)
