*RARE FACTORY MANAGEMENT EMPLOYEE WINCHESTER MODEL 70 SUPER GRADE RIFLE. Cal. 375 H&H. SN G967857. Post-64 production with 24″ tapered rnd bbl, ramp front sight, no rear sight with a Lyman 48 WJS receiver sight. The floorplate is marked “-SUPER GRADE-” and the bolt is jeweled. This rifle was made for Mr. Ted Hazelwood, who ran the Winchester-Canada plant for a number of years. It was made with a most unusual checkered straight grip stock with pre-64 style black forend tip and it has two reinforcing cross bolts. The stock is 13-1/2″ over an orig Winchester red waffle pad. It has a safari sling base on the bbl and corresponding base on the stock. It is accompanied by a pair of pre-64 deluxe sling swivels and a red & white plastic disc identifying the rifle along with a laminated business card from Mr. Hazlewood. The plastic disc indicates that the rifle had been part of the Peter & Patty Murray Collection. CONDITION: Extremely fine, matching, with the metal retaining virtually all of its bright orig factory finish. Wood is sound with minor nicks & scratches and three or four small bruises on the left side and four or five other small lines on the right side.
