*ITHACA 5E SINGLE BARREL SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 ga. Beautiful trap gun with 32” vent ribbed, full choke bbl with ejector, fine checkered broadway rib, Raybar front sight and ivory middle bead. Receiver has 80% coverage coarse foliate arabesque pattern engraving with a raised gold pheasant on the left side, a raise gold woodcock on the right side and a small American eagle on the bottom. Engraved by Ralph Alpen. The foreend iron is matching engraved. Fitted with the typical checkered, tapered, beavertail forearm and highly figured center crotch cut pistol grip buttstock, 14-1/2”” over a solid red Pachmayr Pad. Stock has checkered side panels and double Fleur-de-Lis and scallops on the wrist. Listed on page 177 of the ITHACA GUN BOOK by Walter Snyder. SN 405382. CONDITION: Extremely fine, retains about 98% bright bbl blue, most of its original case colors on the receiver and floorplate, fading on the sides and bottom. The front half of the receiver and the back half of the trigger plate retain brilliant case colors as does the top tang.
