*ITHACA MODEL $6,500 SINGLE BARREL TRAP GUN. Cal. 12ga. Spectacular and rare single bbl trap gun with 34” vent ribbed, full choke bbl, tapered beavertail forearm and pistol grip stock 14-1/2” over a solid red rubber Pachmayr pad. Receiver and sides of the bbl lug are full covered engraved in extremely fine foliate arabesque patterns with a panel of three rising gold ducks and gold cattails on the left side, three flying gold pheasants and gold grasses on the right side, a flying gold partridge and spruce tree with grasses on the bottom and a flying gold woodcock with grasses on the trigger bow. The engraving then extends over the forearm iron and down both tangs and the opening lever. The rib is finely matted with double ivory beads. Wood is highly figured and nicely checkered with Fleur-de-Lis and scallop patterns. It also has checkered side panels. The water table on the receiver, on the bbl and inside the foreend iron are all marked with the serial number and $6,500.00 grade. The foreend iron does not say grade. Trigger is checkered and gold plated with a right hand twist. SN 240405717. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine. Bbl retains virtually all its strong original factory blue and jeweling on the lug and water table. Receiver retains most all of its original factory case colors. Wood retains most of its fine piano varnish finish, slightly crackled and crazed on the buttstock. This is one of only a few of this grade trap gun ever made. 4-48452 JR332 (Dr. Ladd Heldenbrand Est.) (10,000-15,000)
