FIVE FEATHER EDGE SOFT-PASTE PLATES AND PLATTERS BY VARIOUS MAKERS. 18th/19th century. Group includes an oval platter in oriental taste decorated in underglaze blue with incised underglaze marked “ASTBURY” (Thomas Astbury, 1725-1780). An unmarked plate decorated with a multi-tier pagoda. A Leeds plate with green feather edge and two Wedgwood bowls in underglaze blue. SIZE: Platter 17-1/2″ l; Bowls 9-1/2″ dia. PROVENANCE: From the private collection of Dorothy-Lee Jones. CONDITION: Platter with craquelure and glaze losses to surface of sides. Pagoda plate with rim chips. Leeds plate very good. Wedgwood bowls with rim chips, one with staple repair. 9-23280 (600-900)
