Bowed crest rail above nine spindles joined to the medial splat continuing to knuckled arms with carved volutes above the shaped saddle seat raised on baluster turned splayed legs joined by a similarly turned H-stretcher. The whole with multiple layers of green, black, and red paint. PROVENANCE: Fine private Long Island, New York mansion. SIZE: 39” h of back, 17-1/2” h of seat.
