JOSEPH MORRIS RAPHAEL (American, 1869-1950) POND AND TREES. Large oil on masonite impressionistic scene shows a pond with colorful grasses having a backdrop of large trees. The artist used a large amount of paint and very bright colors and is an outstanding example of this early work when he was in France and surrounding countries. Signed middle left “Joe Raphael”.
