*SCARCE “G” SERIES FN FAL SEMI-AUTO RIFLE. SN G2612. Cal. 308. Orig FAL by Fabrique Nationale with black enamel finish and 5-1/4″ slim flash hider/bayonet lug. Bbl is mounted with a swiveling sling loop with corresponding swivel in butt stock. Mounted with uncheckered walnut butt stock & ventilated triangle shaped forearm and has a folding carrying handle in the top front of receiver. Front sight is completely adjustable and rear sight is graduated to 600 meters. It is also mounted with a black composition pistol grip. This rifle was imported by Browning Arms only in the years 1959-1962. It was initially declared illegal under the gun control act of 1968 but five years later was exempted. There were only 1,822 of these rifles exempted at that time. This information was provided on p. 710 of The Blue Book of Gun Values, Fjestad, 28th Edition. Accompanied by an orig English language 134 page owner’s manual with Browning Arms over-label on front cover. The inside of the back of the manual has two fold-out blueprints. CONDITION: Extremely fine, all visible numbers matching. Overall retains virtually all of its orig black enamel finish with only a few light handling & storage marks. Wood is sound also with light handling & storage marks. Mechanics are crisp, bright shiny bore. May have been fired but if so very little. 4-39908 JR93 (4,000-6,000)
