22” E. 10 J. BEBE. A very desirable Bebe by the prestigious French doll-maker Emile Jumeau. Marked on the rear of head “DEPOSE E. 10 J.,” with the idealized look and the face so prized by the collectors of French dolls. Bulbous blue threaded paperweight eyes and pale bisque enhance this young lady’s appeal. On a marked straight wristed composition Jumeau body (six ball joints), she is wearing a period red velvet dress, antique leather shoes, and her original sandy blonde human hair wig with a bevy of corkscrew curls cascading down her back. Doll still retains original spring connecting bisque to the composition torso. SIZE: 22”. CONDITION: Overall excellent; some wear to body and minor loss to nap of velvet dress.
