VERY RARE PEDERSEN DEVICE FOR MARK I RIFLE. Cal 30. This lot consist of the very rare Pedersen device for 1903 and 1917 rifles altered with an ejection port, one original forty round magazine, a canvas carrying pouch marked “RIA/1919”, and three boxes of original cal 30 auto pistol ball cartridges containing 40 rounds each, which coincidentally is the capacity of the Pedersen magazine. The device is marked “U.S.A. 1918-Mark I/47626” on the left side and “Remington-Bridgeport/Pedersen’s pat’s. pending” on the right side. The magazine is usual straight configuration with 40 round capacity and marked with the code “SP”. The pouch is heavy green canvas with brass stud and snap and a brass snap ring on the backside. The ammunition is made by Remington Arms/Union Metallic Cartridge Company and consists of 2 full 40 round boxes and a partial box containing 29 rounds. CONDITION: Device and magazine retain most of their original black oxide finish with some light pitting on the chamber adapter. Pouch is as new and probably un-issued. The ammunition boxes show damage with broken seams and detached flap. The partial box is only the tray insert. 4-50330, 4-50331, 4-50332 JR137 (16,000-18,000)
