*FINE PARKER AAH DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN. Cal. 12ga. Exceptionally fine double A Parker, on a No. 2 frame, with 30” bbls choked FULL/MOD with tapered matted rib, dbl ivory beads with the makers’ name, “PIGEON GUN” and “WHITWORTH STEEL” engraved on the rib. Bbl water table is marked “FULL” and “MOD”. Receiver has full coverage, very fine foliate and floral arabesque patterns, which extends over the trigger guard and foreend iron. Fences are matching engraved with a fine border pattern and raised triple scallops, extractors and gold plated Parker single trigger. Wood is very nicely figured center crotch cut walnut with long full checkered beavertail forearm carved in fleur-de-lis patterns. Foreend latch is engraved “PAT’D MAR 26 1878”. Buttstock has extensively checkered wrist with checkered raised fleur-de-lis side panels, a Parker capped pistol grip and is 14-3/4” over an old Hawkins pad. SN 190632. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine. Bbls retain 98-99% strong bright original blue. Receiver retains about 80% subtle original case colors, thin and turning silver on the bottom front half. Wood is sound and retains most of a fine hand rubbed oil finish. Bores are brilliant and shiny. An exceptional and very fine and rare Parker shotgun. 4-48904 JR699 (30,000-50,000)
