ANTIQUE COLUMBIA HEILPRIN REPEATER AIR RIFLE. Cal BB. Very early BB gun with cast iron receiver, air chamber, and lever with a sheet brass bbl, all nickel-plated. The bbl has a sliding loading cover and is stamped with the 1893 patent date. Both sides of the receiver are cast with a squirrel sitting on a limb with oak leaves and acorns. The left side of the forearm area is cast with the date . It has a tiny hardwood stock that may be a replacement, with nickeled cast iron crescent buttplate. CONDITION: About fine. Overall retains 85-90% strong original nickel with some brass showing through on the bbl tube. Muzzle has a slightly mashed appearance and the stock has a chipped toe.
