SMITH & WESSON NEW MODEL #3 REVOLVER. Cal. 44 Russian. SN 23261. Nickel finish, 6-1/2″ keyhole bbl with half moon front sight, fixed rear sight, 2-pc S&W embossed hard rubber grips. The backstrap has a hole and the butt a notch for an attachable shoulder stock. The butt strap also has a factory installed lanyard loop. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine. All matching except the grips, which are unnumbered, but appear orig to this revolver. It retains 97-98% strong bright orig nickel with some nicks & scratches and surface mars from poor storage. Hammer retains virtually all of its brilliant case colors, slightly faded on the spur. Trigger guard has traces of dark case colors. Grips are crisp showing only light diamond point wear. Mechanics are fine, brilliant shiny bore, appears to be unfired. 4-54063 JR635 (2,500-3,500)
