*EXTRAORDINARY NEAR MINT 1906 AMERICAN EAGLE 9 MM LUGER. SN 28680. Cal. 9 mm. Scarce American eagle Luger with 4″ bbl, DWM scroll on front toggle link, American eagle over chamber & “GERMANY” export mark on front of frame below serial number. It has grip safety & is fitted with full checkered walnut grips & accompanied by a correct “Cal 9m/m” marked wood base magazine. Thumb safety area is unmarked with safe in the top position & bottom area polished bright. Extractor is marked “LOADED”. PROVENANCE: Doug Smith Collection. CONDITION: Extraordinarily fine, all numbered parts are matching including grips. Overall retains virtually all of its strong orig factory blue with only extremely faint muzzle & sharp edge wear & over 99% factory orig strong straw colors. Grips are crisp & new with beautiful color & strong wood grain showing through with a tiny crease on right side. Grip screws retain 99% fire blue. Magazine is near mint with some light surface discoloration on body. Mechanics are crisp, brilliant shiny bore. 4-36151 JR214 & BS (7,500-10,000)
