A.C. MULTI-BELL SLOT MACHINE BY CAILLE. Although this rare machine is not aesthetically the most pleasing, the ingenuity and mechanics are far beyond almost any other machine from the 1930s. A player is able to deposit from one to seven coins. If he deposited a coin in each slot, he was always a winner. There were seven ways in which to hit the jackpot. What was most unique about this machine was the payout was always variable (from 2 to 20) and/or the jackpot. As an example, if one were to select the apple and play a coin in that slot, he could win the jackpot by lining up an apple on the first, second, and third reel. He could also win a payout by having an apple on the first reel, the second and third reels would not be important, other than to win the jackpot. The third reel indicated how much the player would win (2 to 20). A very complicated mechanism and always best with a machine of this nature that the mechanism is complete and intact as is the case with this machine. Machine is in completely original finish with a multitude of decals, original paper reel strips, original cash box, and back door. SIZE: 16″ w x 15″ d x 26″ h. CONDITION: Overall very good original condition. 1-8941 JL (5,500-7,500) Auction: Advertising, Toy & Doll - Fall 2008 Please Note: All prices include the hammer price plus the buyer’s premium, which is paid by the buyer as part of the purchase price.
