*SCARCE NAVY ISSUE COLT WOODSMAN SEMI-AUTO PISTOL. Cal. 22 LR. SN 105875. Blue finish with 4-1/2″ tapered rnd bbl, standard front sight and adjustable rear sight. It has full checkered walnut grips and is accompanied by an orig 2-tone magazine. The sideplate on the left side has a small circular stamp with two crossed keys. This is the Navy Storekeeper’s mark signifying this was a military issue pistol. This mark is illustrated on page 221 US Handguns of WWII, Pate. The front strap has a screw hole exactly where one would mount a pair of elephant ear grips. CONDITION: Extremely fine, retains 98% plus strong bright orig blue with only faint muzzle & sharp edge wear. Grips are equally fine with light diamond point wear and the magazine retains most of its orig factory finish. Pistol has been fired but very little. Mechanics are crisp, bright shiny bore. 4-53860 JR526 (800-1,200)
