17” CLOSE MOUTH GERMAN DOLL INCISED “157”, “9”. On early wood and composition fully jointed body with straight wrists and eight loose balls. Lovely amber threaded paperweight eyes, wearing replaced auburn human hair wig of eight corkscrew curls and an antique gold skirt with lace trim and a brown velvet shirt waist with lace trim and red buttons, topped by a wide brimmed straw hat trimmed in a multi-colored ribbon. CONDITION: Good quality bisque, tiny pinprick white spot on left cheek, original body finish in good condition. Although German, she has the look of a French bebe worth twice her value.
