*1903 SPRINGFIELD RIFLE. Cal 30-06. SN 1310579. 24” bbl dated “8-31”. 1903-A1 National Match (Special Target). Sold to W.F. Riesenberg in Alamogordo, NM on Sept. 26, 1935. Have copy of shipping voucher as well as letter from Springfield Research Service. Equipped with P.J. O’Hare sight protectors. Bolt is nickel-steel and numbered to the gun. Equipped with c-stock. CONDITION: Receiver retains 92%-95% orig Parkerizing. Bbl has 95% finish with the most significant wear being from the sight cover. Front band has 98% orig finish. Middle band has virtually all of its finish. Rear sight is cracked and in as new condition. Buttplate has 98% of its orig finish with some light surface rust in the checkering. Wood is in excellent condition with no significant dings or mars except for someone has done a nice job checkering the stock both on the pistol grip as well as behind the middle band. There also appears to be a very small repair underneath the magazine cut off. Stock has no cartouche but is equipped with circle “P” & drawing board number. 4-57795 BK26 (2,000-3,000)
