*1903 SPRINGFIELD RIFLE. Cal 30-06. SN 777815. 24” bbl dated “Jan 1918”. “D.A.L.” inspected with orig sling and checkered buttplate. Orig sights. Good example of an orig hard to get ‘03. Mechanically fine. CONDITION: Rifle appears to be in good orig condition. Receiver has 50-60% orig blue finish with flaking present. Bbl has 80% finish fading to gray. Bore has strong rifling and should clean to better. Bands are turning gray. No obvious pitting to rifle with exception of rear sight assembly which is easily replaceable. Wood is in good orig condition with sharp finger grooves, but being a wartime gun shows use. 4-57818 BK6 (1,500-2,500)
