GUSTAVO NOVOA (Chilean, 1941-) “GLUTTONY”. Light oil on board surrealistic scene shows a recumbent lion with large belly amongst tall grass with a small group of mushrooms and nuts which have been selectively eaten. Six squirrel-like animals walk away noticeably mad. All under a blue, pink and light colored sky. Signed lower left “G. Novoa 1977”. Housed in what appears to be its original carved weathered frame with linen liner. The back dust board has title and Wally Findley Galleries label. SIZE: 22” x 18”.
