DON STONE (AMERICAN, 1929 – ) “TWO OF FOUR”. Egg tempera on board winter scene shows two boys pulling unseen sleds across a snow-covered field toward a connected Colonial house. The sun is setting,casting yellow colors in the sky with light gray clouds. Two lights can be seen in the house in the distance. Signed lower right. Housed in a wonderful stained, molded wood frame with gilt liner. One of the finest works by this artist that we have handled. Bay View Gallery label on reverse. SIZE: 18″ x 30″.
