TIN WINDUP MARX CHARLESTON TRIO W/OB. Dated 1921. Best of the Rooftop Black Dancer toys. One of this writer’s favorite toys features Black Dancer doing the jig. Black boy in porter outfit playing the violin and performing Dog with cane in mouth. All performers executing on rooftop of Music Hall with sides of building showing images of Trio and adoring audience (including banjo player). Striking original box also shows Stage, Performers and Audience. Graphics on all six sides. SIZE: 9 1/2″ tall. CONDITION: Base of toy near mint. Overall outstanding with near excellent figures. One box end flap has split. Box is firm, complete and near excellent. 1-26860 (900-1,200)
