*SCARCE SPECIAL ORDER SEMI-DELUXE MODEL 1890 PUMP RIFLE. Cal. 22 Short. Late (1925) production rifle with 24” oct bbl, modified Rocky Mountain front sight with flat top centerfire rifle sight in rear dovetail and an early Lyman loop style tang sight. Blued receiver with tiny round ribbed forearm and uncheckered capped pistol grip stock with crescent steel buttplate. Accompanied by photos showing assembly #259 on side of lower tang and front edge of the buttstock indicating factory work. SN 680033. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbl retains 97-98% strong bright original blue with two or three small scratches on left side near muzzle, probably zipper scratches. Magazine tube retains about 60% strong bright blue with the balance flaked to light patina. Receiver retains about 80% original blue mixed with fine flaking turned to patina. Wood is extremely fine and retains virtually all its wonderful piano varnish finish. Buttplate retains about 95% original blue. Brilliant shiny bore. 4-48822 JR648 (4,500-6,000)
