RARE LIBBEY GLASS COLORFUL ADVERTISING POSTER. This colorful late 19th Century lithograph poster depicts the Libbey Glass Co’s factory in full operation at the World Columbian Exposition with elaborate building with banners flying with the words “Libbey” and innumerable people of all denomination mulling about outside. This was printed and distributed as an advertisement for the Blue Ridge Household Chemicals. SIZE: 21″ x 29″. CONDITION: Retains both original metal bands at top and bottom and original affixed compliments tag from Blue Ridge at lower left. Colors are generally bright with light soiling or stain in the upper center sky. Border has various imperfections including a large rip and a couple of holes along with some insect damage. Nearly all of this damage is relegated to the white border. Almost none of it appears in the image. There are also a couple of creases that extend into the image. Laid on Styrofoam with glassine shield. A very neat item. 5-69530 (400-800)
