**M18A1 57 MM RECOILESS RIFLE (DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE). SN 12336BS. Cal 57 mm, 48″ bbl, M18A1, manufactured by Firestone. Accessories include M86F scope with correct mount on weapon and also standard Browning tripod pintle. Also included are 3 dummy rounds of ammo and orig military canvas case. This weapon appears fully functional throughout. Breach mechanism opens and closes smoothly, and optics are clear. PROVENANCE: Bruce Stern Collection. CONDITION: Overall finish and appearance are excellent throughout with only some brassing on the side of the mount hook where it was laid down and on handle and contact points. Optics and scope are clear, scope has U.S. light ordnance green paint, while rest of weapon has flat black paint as is proper. Scope eye cup rubber is still soft and supple and a 100% present. Shoulder pads also soft and supple with some brassing to the canvas, but overall very fine condition. Pintle appears as if rarely or ever been inserted into tripod. Cheek pad has some wear to the high edges and corners, but overall very good to very fine condition. Canvas carrying case in excellent condition overall, dummy rounds also in excellent condition. Bore and rifling are excellent showing little or no wear. All in all an outstanding example of the recoiless rifle and would be a fine addition to any U.S. Arms collection. 4-39201 JWK4 (4,000-6,000)
