*1903 SPRINGFIELD RIFLE. Cal 30-06. SN 616632. 24” bbl dated “11 – 15”. An orig gun with an orig sling. Very pleasing to look at and with the proper single bolt stock. CONDITION: Receiver is mottled case hardened about 90-95% colors. Bbls has approx. 95% blue in showing areas. Front band has about 95% blue. Middle band has approx. 80% of blue. Rear sight assembly has approx. 90% blue with the wear being on the sight itself. Has correct sight knobs and sight leaf. Bolt has 90% of blue in very good condition. Trigger housing has approx. 85% blue with the wear being where the sling rubs, and the floorplate has approx. 80% blue. The checkered buttplate is in excellent with 90% plus condition. Stock is in very good condition with two dents on the comb about halfway back. Other than that minor handling marks and a very crisp “J.F.C.” cartouche. Bore is a little dark with very strong rifling that should clean to much better. Overall a very nice 1916 issue ‘03. 4-57791 BK25 (2,500-3,500)
